COULD NOT HAVE MY TYSABRI!!

I went to get my infusion yesterday, and before you get the infusion you have to see the doctor. I told the doctor about my stomach the" D" word. I was told that " I COULDN'T HAVE IT!!"
I almost started to cry, and beg! They called my stomach doctor and he's going to order tests. YUCK! I have to wait for 2 wks. until the Tysabri is out of my system to see if the "D" word is a reaction to the Tysabri. If I do have an infection in my stomach, the Tysabri makes your body not be able to fight the infection and I could end up with real trouble.
I told them that my MS symtoms are already coming back, I'm limping, tired and etc.. They still said "NO" Come back in 2 weeks and we'll see.

I FEEL LIKE A DRUG ADDICT!!!

I WANT MY TYSABRI NOW!!!!!

I DON'T WANT MY MS SYMPTOMS TO COME BACK!!!!

(((((((Cyndee)))))))), I'm so sorry you couldn't have your infusion, but don't despair...there is a bad bacterial virus going around that is causing "D" in adults and children (my p/t caregiver had it and it lasted a couple of weeks, her f/t co-workers have it too!)...plus one Ty user wrote me - her dr. took her off Ty for 2 mo's and after tests were run, they found it was a strain of bacteria causing the "D" (she said "A week after the second infusion I developed Clostridium Difficille-bacteria and protozoa showed up on cultures-and has 6 weeks of bad
diarrhea...infectious disease specialist who oversees the Tysabri put me on an antibiotic called Flagyl for ten days and it is finally slowing down"), put her on a.b.'s above to resolve it first and now she's back on Ty, so maybe this is all it is...a 2 wks wait is better than 2 mo's! Dr. B is awesome!...We'll talk more on 3/31 at the Ty seminar - okie dokie artichokie? (((hugs))) Lauren :)
